Enflowerd Art
To enflower: an old, poetic English verb meaning “to cover or decorate with flowers”. Our artists – who have mental or physical disabilities – work on their floral artworks with intense focus and dedication.
To enflower: an old, poetic English verb meaning “to cover or decorate with flowers”. Our artists – who have mental or physical disabilities – work on their floral artworks with intense focus and dedication. They approach flowers and plants from a different perspective, free from conventions and artistic rules. They feel, experiment and create based on pure intuition. The hours they invest in their work testify to a passion that is universal and expresses itself in unique creations.
The theme of “connection” of Floraliën 2026 forms the perfect basis for this collaboration with care and education group De Triangel. Art connects people across borders. Through this installation, de Triangel wants to show that creativity knows no privileges and that talent manifests itself in many forms.
Inclusion in art goes beyond simply “being allowed to participate”. It is about recognising a different voice, a different perspective, a different interpretation of beauty. Our artists bring perspectives that enrich, that challenge, that make us reflect on what art really is. Their work proves that limitations are not barriers, but rather open up new avenues for artistic expression.
This art installation is an encounter between different worlds: the world of the Floraliën with its rich tradition, the innovative S.M.A.K. and the creative power of our artists. Together, we create an experience that touches and connects.
