General: your visit to Floraliën
The paid section of Floraliën Gent 2026 will take place in the Floraliënhal and the Kuipke. The route in the Botanical Garden of Ghent University (Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat 35, 9000 Ghent) and in the Citadel Park is free of charge. All locations are just a stone's throw away from each other.
Floraliën Gent 2026 will take place from Friday 1 May to Sunday 10 May 2026, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day (last admission to the site at 5.30 p.m.).
During the preview on 30 April, Floraliën Gent will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission to the site at 5.30 p.m.).
Nocturnes are possible from 2 to 9 May and start at 7 p.m. each evening. (Last admission at 7.30 p.m.)
We want to offer every visitor the best possible experience. By allowing visitors to choose a time slot, we can ensure that maximum capacity is never exceeded and that there is always a smooth flow of visitors. Once you have chosen your time slot, we expect you to start your visit to FloralIën Ghent within that time slot.
Once inside, you can explore Floraliën at your own pace; there is no time limit on your visit. A visit usually lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours.
Yes, primary school children visiting Floraliën with their parents receive a free activity booklet that they can use independently to explore the route. Don't worry, it can also be completed at home!
Children/young people aged 6 to 18 are eligible for a reduced rate (on presentation of their identity card or other card showing their date of birth).
Children under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge.
No, pets are not allowed at Floraliën. Therefore, we ask that you leave your pets at home.
Only assistance dogs are welcome at the Floraliën site.
The Floraliën Ghent floral exhibition is covered and takes place entirely indoors in the Floraliën Hall and the Kuipke. Only the outdoor trail in the Botanical Garden and Citadel Park is not covered..
Yes. Do you require urgent first aid? You can visit our first aid station, which is clearly marked along the route
The Gandante guides and Ghent guides will be happy to show you around the Floralies trail, taking in a selection of special creations and projects by leading national and international florists, ornamental growers, landscape architects and artists. It is possible to book a guide for your group (max. 20 people/guide) at a rate of €135. A guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Reservations can be made by sending an email to info@gandante.be or info@gentsegidsen.be.
A visit to Floraliën Ghent takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. We provide rest and relaxation facilities on site.
Smoking is not permitted on the Floraliën site.
Lost items are collected at the information point at the entrance to the site. You can collect your item from the information point at the entrance between 8:00 and 17:30, or send an email to info@floralien.be with a description of what you lost, where and when.
Yes! Halfway through the exhibition route, you’ll find our catering area. It’s the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy a snack or a drink. Please note that this area is only reachable during your visit and cannot be visited beforehand.

You can pay by debit or credit card (Maestro/Mastercard/Visa) at all cash registers. Cash payments are still an option, but we naturally prefer card payments.
Of course! After the festival, you will also find a selection of atmospheric images from our resident photographers on our website and social media channels.

Yes, we certainly provide sufficient rest areas.
In the middle of the course, there is even a catering facility where you can take a break and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
No, the Floraliën site is not located in the LEZ zone. You can find more information about the LEZ zone in Ghent on this website.
No, bringing your own food and drink is not permitted. There is a catering facility halfway along the route where you can enjoy something tasty to drink or eat.
Guided walks can be booked directly through the guide organisations. For guided walks, we work together with Gentse Gidsen and Gandante. Both offer high-quality guided tours of Floraliën Gent for groups. Would you like to add an extra walk in the surrounding area or the city centre? They can help you with that too!

Rates and tickets
No, this is not possible.
All prices for the various tickets can be found on our page: prices and tickets.
You can order your Floraliën tickets on our website or purchase them on the day itself at the entrance to the Floraliën site. If you purchase them at the entrance, the tickets will be slightly more expensive and only the standard ticket will be available.
Tickets at the reduced rate can be purchased from 3 November using the UiTPAS at the UiTWinkel (Veldstraat 82B, 9000 Ghent).
Are you coming with more than 20 people? Then you can take advantage of the group rate.Group visits can also be booked directly via the website by selecting the group rate or by sending an email to margot.bollaert@floralien.be.
Yes. There are ticket offices at the entrance. However, with a ticket purchased online, you can get in more quickly and it is also cheaper!
After payment, you will receive an email from us with a digital ticket attached. During your chosen time slot, present your digital or printed ticket at the entrance to the Floralies site. Your ticket will be scanned there.
Check your spam folder. Some email programmes don't understand that the email with your Floraliën ticket is the most important message of the year! If you can't find your ticket there either, please contact us at tickets@floralien.be. We will help you as soon as possible.
Yes! Children, young people, teachers and groups can enjoy a reduced rate.
If you are a resident of Ghent, Merelbeke-Melle, Destelbergen or Lochristi and you have a UiTPAS with opportunity status, you will receive an 80% discount. Don't forget to provide your UiTPAS number when registering/purchasing a ticket.

An admission ticket to Floraliën Gent 2026 grants you one-time access to the Floraliën site. Use of the bicycle parking facilities is free of charge.
Parking and public transport are not included.
No. One ticket for Floraliën grants you one entry on the selected date and time slot as stated on the ticket. You cannot visit the Floraliën site on multiple days with the same ticket.
Yes, if you have purchased a youth ticket, we reserve the right to ask to see your identity card. If you are unable to show your identity card, we reserve the right to refuse you entry.
Tickets at the reduced rate (€5.40) will be sold at the UiTWinkel counter (Veldstraat 82, 9000 Ghent) from 3 November. These tickets cannot be booked online. UiTPAS is a personal card: only one ticket per UiTPAS can be purchased at the reduced rate.

Floraliën Gent 2026 will take place in Ghent, within walking distance of Ghent-Sint-Pieters railway station. The Floraliën site is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or by public transport.

Near Floraliën Gent, there will be a hop-on hop-off zone where you can drop off and pick up your group by bus/coach. Once all passengers have disembarked, the bus/coach must park in a car park on the outskirts of the city for the rest of the visit. It is not possible for the bus to remain near the site.
