A journey through the history of the Floraliën

Join us on a walk through the history of the Floraliën. From the very first modest plant exhibition to the spectacular displays that put Ghent on the map today.

This walk gives you a comprehensive insight into the history of the Floraliën, from its origins in 1808 to its current form. You’ll walk through the historic centre of Ghent (starting at the Coupure) to the Botanical Garden in the Arts Quarter. The walk is 7.2 km long and takes approximately 2 hours.
